Machupicchu es la única maravilla del mundo en contar con certificación Carbono Neutral

En esta línea, se implementaron cuatro procesos para reutilizar residuos aprovechables: la instalación de una planta compactadora de plástico PET y cartón; una planta de biodiesel para procesar aceite usado de restaurantes y casinos; una planta de pirolización de Hoy 27 de junio, en el contexto del 17° aniversario de su elección como una de las Siete Maravillas del Mundo Moderno, el Santuario Histórico de Machupicchu, en la región del Cusco, ha recibido nuevamente el certificado como “Destino Carbono Neutral”. Este logro coloca al Perú a la vanguardia de la sostenibilidad ambiental y los esfuerzos para combatir los efectos del cambio climático. Nuestra maravilla mundial ha recibido esta distinción como resultado del compromiso del sector público y privado, quienes unieron esfuerzos para lograr este valioso resultado. Por un lado, el grupo impulsor formado por el Municipio de Machupicchu, Grupo AJE, Inkaterra y Tetra Pak, y el grupo aliado formado por PROMPERÚ, World Xchange, Luz del Sur, Bosques Amazónicos (BAM), Latam y CANATUR. La certificación fue otorgada por Green Initiative, empresa líder en certificación climática en el sector turístico, que reconoce el cumplimiento de sus objetivos de descarbonización. Para lograr este reconocimiento, el Santuario Histórico de Machupicchu ha adoptado medidas efectivas para reducir su huella de carbono y compensar las emisiones remanentes, implementando prácticas sustentables como el manejo de residuos sólidos y promoviendo una economía circular. “En PROMPERÚ tenemos el firme propósito de contribuir al desarrollo sustentable y descentralizado de nuestro país”, afirmó la Presidenta Ejecutiva de PROMPERÚ, Claricia Tirado, en el acto realizado en la Plaza Manco Cápac de Aguas Calientes. Perú es reconocido como Destino Líder de Sudamérica en los World Travel Awards

Perú ascendió a lo más alto de la edición regional de los World Travel Awards (WTA) 2024, luego de ser elegido como “Destino Líder de Sudamérica”. North Bay Resources acquires Mt Vernon Mine, expects long-term gold production

North Bay Resources Inc. (OTC:NBRI) has announced an agreement to acquire 100% of the Mt Vernon Mine in Sierra County, California. CEO Jared Lazerson told Proactive's Stephen Gunnion that the Mt Vernon Mine, located near historically rich North American gold mines, is an undeveloped yet promising site. The mine, characterised as a paleoplacer deposit, was once a riverbed, making the gold deposits well-defined and relatively shallow. Significant historical findings include high-grade nuggets, with some reportedly grading at 90 ounces. The mine is permitted and has existing infrastructure, allowing for the immediate commencement of test mining. North Bay plans to scale up operations to process around 100 tons per day, with expectations of yielding significant gold quantities based on initial exploration data. Lazerson noted that the mine’s ore would be processed at the company’s Bishop Gold mill, which can handle 100 tons per day. Projections estimate the mine could produce approximately 80 ounces of gold daily, translating to gross revenues of about $200,000 per day, with net revenues potentially exceeding $100,000 after costs and partnerships. With nearly a million tonnes of known high-grade feedstock, the mine's operations could sustain for about 50 years at the current processing rate. Lazerson emphasised the company's rapid growth and the stability of gold as a valuable investment, particularly in the current geopolitical and economic climate. The company aims for continued development and potential expansion of its processing capabilities in the future. Fathom Nickel reports promising exploration results at Gochager Lake, prepares for autumn program

The recent field program included an extensive soil geochemical survey aimed at identifying signals over the historic deposit, which can be used to locate similar deposits elsewhere on the property. Mapping and sampling of outcrops showed subsurface signals extending up to 400 metres east-northeast of the historic deposit, indicating increased complexity and potential for finding larger deposits. Fraser highlighted the presence of significant magmatic nickel, copper, and cobalt deposits. The historic Gochager Lake deposit is hosted in a gabbro, a type of mafic intrusion. The discovery of more ultramafic rock with sufficient sulphur saturation expands the potential for magmatic deposits. The exploration program also identified similar signals at the Mal Lake site, located ten kilometres southeast of Gochager Lake, suggesting a common source for the mineralization and significantly increasing the scope and potential of the area. Looking ahead, Fathom Nickel plans to establish a camp at Gochager Lake in early August, with drilling expected to begin by mid-September, following detailed data analysis and drill planning.
